Lean left his body all over the streets of DTLA. Sometimes alone. Sometimes with friends.
This was Sunday. I'd seen them start the day before, just feet from the entry to Grand Market, huddled together in conversation. Now they laid, scattered all over the sidewalk.
I have several photographs of this moment which I will probably hold away from eyes for quite a long time - one of the group reaches for a cup that almost isn't there while BODY28 lays dead still.
Strangely, I found the impression of the blast - a stain from the Purple Drank that'd been spilled just behind his prosthetic.

I've haunted the streets of LA all my life. Here and there, sometimes other places, but mostly LA.
With a sickness I capture moments around me, obsessed by the knowledge that everything's lost.
I believe capturing truth requires the absence of me. My work is a reflection.
