Yemen is already one of the poorest Arab countries and, unlike other Arab states like Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Kuwait, it lacks the ability to flaunt or influence global and regional politics. According to UN data, Yemen has a population of roughly 30 million. Yemen has been in the clutches of war, hunger, disease, and uncertainties for the past six to seven years. And the recent pandemic compounds the sufferings and challenges that the people of Yemen face on a daily basis.
