Born from my comedic acting roots, I still make faces in the mirror. I think it is a very pure form of free expression. In each frame there is an emotion being expressed. Extreme contrasts, gradient variations, and rapid refresh catalog a cuneiform of the psyche.

So often art imposes a burden to say something perfectly, some pristine depiction of the abstract. A face can shatter this barrier with punk minimalism. A face is raw, a face is everyday. Some of the faces are obscene, some are even outright grotesque. Beyond all of that, try seeing a person who is completely free, if only for one split-second.

Resist the trained temptation to simply consume in scroll, instead interact. Open multiple frames on separate tabs, then close out each tab in rapid succession to inhabit a re-enactment of my meta-manic process.
