Natural Code is my most recent series that presents works started in 2021, with the union of watercolour technique on paper and digital collage. This mixture of techniques reflects very much my professional background and experience both in art and graphic design.

A plant, a puddle of water, stones, insects, leaves... are small worlds full of life if seen through a magnifying glass. Each work in the Natural Code series is like a unique message from this environment, which wants to establish an inspiring dialogue with the viewer, with this connection between nature and the beauty of these miniature worlds.

The works in this series highlight the emotional power of simple forms. The compositions are a large tangle of circles in different sizes, with a visual contrast of shapes and the textures of watercolour, which are obtained by working in a rather watery technique and with an intentional exaggeration in the concentration of pigment, revealing surprising spots after drying.

The only intention of the series is to transmit tranquility, hope and well-being, more than necessary in this moment we are facing, in more than one year of pandemic. And why not, small moments of joy, if possible.
