I always get intrigued by faces - the emotions and their unique ability to mask feelings. ‘Shroud’ on the other hand, draws an end to those emotions. How overwhelming it must feel to cover everything under a mundane piece of cloth. The entirety of being justified with just a mess of woven thread. But is that all? Is a shroud only for death? Is shroud only the beginning of the afterlife? Don’t we shroud ourselves? Do we not put that invisible cover upon us to protect ourselves from being broken? Does the nature not shroud her into mist and fog to protect her mystery, her nudity as we try to continuously undress her? Shroud isn’t just a piece of cloth, shroud isn’t just an ending, for me it signifies struggle, it signifies dignity. For me shroud is nature battling its contradictions without ever trying to win consciously. Presenting "THE SHROUD".
