The bell tower featured in the middle was build between 1649 - 1663. The lantern was designed by Philips Vingboons, who possible also designed the Amsterdam City Hall (now Palace, Dam square). The smaller tower dates back to 1315, is part of the UNESCO listed magistrates' hall and now part of Stedelijk Museum Kampen.
