‘Divine Liberation’ is a unique limited-edition NFT of 786 that supports the ‘Woman, Life, Freedom’ movement and symbolizes the impending liberation of the women of Iran. The artwork features a woman’s face emerging from decades of brutality and oppression as they fight for freedom and autonomy over their body.
The calligraphic elements in the background symbolize the voices of civilians with audio that was taken from actual footage of schoolgirls protesting in Iran as they chant “Woman, Life, Freedom” in Farsi.
The mixed media collaboration was originally created on a 36 x 48-inch canvas using a combination of mediums including ink, oil paints, acrylics, spray paint, and 18K gold leaf. The painting was then digitally adapted into an NFT that aims to raise funds to help defend the women of Iran against human rights violations.
CauseNFT, an NFT ecosystem driving positive social impact, has partnered with Canadian artists Emaan Faith and Sandra Riz to create this stunning limited-edition NFT. All profits from the collaborative drop will be donated to human rights groups as voted by the NFT holders.
CauseNFT is incentivizing people to take action and accelerate impact by offering exclusive perks to holders of multiple NFTs in their wallets. Holders of 5 pieces will receive an exclusive NFT airdrop by the artists. Holders of 10 pieces will receive a hand-embellished print.
"Woman, Life, Freedom" collection was created out of an urgent need to fundraise and amplify the voices of Iranian women as they fight against oppression and lead one of the world’s most historic women’s revolutions.
Protests and strikes sparked by the death of 22-year old Mahsa (Jina) Amini have been ongoing for weeks despite bloody crackdowns and internet shutdowns by the authorities. At least 207 people, including 23 children, have been killed. People in cities over the world are protesting to demand political change amid decades-long grievances caused by the Islamic Regime. The women of Iran need our ongoing support as they continue to fight for their freedom.
This is the very first initiative launched by CauseNFT - An urgent cause that required them to act prior to their beta platform going live.
