I had quite a strange experience just before lockdown. I went to one of my favorite meditation and yoga retreats near my home in Queenstown named Aro Ha (the Maori for love), and I had some amazing deep sessions. One of them centred around the heart and the idea of being alone or being worthy of not-being-alone. It was quite wonderful and therapeutic, and I came out of it quite excited to engage with a lot of other people and stop being such a hermit. Well, just as that tricky universe continues to throw us curveballs, lockdown came into the present scene so I was forced to be alone for even longer. It seems the cycle of being alone and together are two sides of the same coin, and you can't have one without the other as they are a reflection of the same truth.
