Denali is the highest peak in North America at 20,310 ft or 6,190 m. It towers regally above the regular mountains in the foreground of this shot and creates its own weather.

It is the awe-inspiring jewel of Denali National Park in Alaska, a cornerstone arctic biosphere and conservation area spanning 6 million acres (larger than the state of New Hampshire) with only one road in and out to minimize tourist traffic.
