Yearn's story is more layered and nuanced than the retelling of any one achievement, or even the many voices of its community in the last year. Its story illustrates a new awareness, one that preceded Yearn and will extend beyond it. Narratives re-center us in the face of novelty's emergent ontology, and yet this NFT's image was found as a near ready-made, in archives of books that are slowly turning to dust. It shows the Yearning Tree and the four yFu, fictive elements of an alternate universe being created in Yearn's image, constellations for the virtual sky we are building.
