I remember this shot very well from the year 2017. There was a storm expected to reach this area in the evening at sunset time but it didn’t happen. I started driving back home after sunset and it was then that I saw some strikes in the distance. In a few minutes, the heavy rain started. The place I was waiting at earlier was the safest to capture lightning if it hit at the top of the Burj Khalifa. So I quickly drove back to the same place. It was still raining but I think I missed a few strikes. Anyhow, I quickly set up my camera and started taking pictures. I got some really nice short time-lapses where the storm passed this area and this was the best shot from it. The night paid off.
This genesis is a collection of 14 unique images showcasing the beauty of the Dubai city skyline including 'Burj Khalifa'. This tower holds six world records aside from being the tallest building in the world, located in Dubai, UAE.
Photographing the cityscape (with Burj Khalifa in the frame) always surprises. Living in this part of the world gave me several opportunities to shoot this wonder at different times, from different points of view, and in totally enchanting atmospheres.
As a nature lover, while photographing Burj Khalifa, how can I forget not to include the elements of nature like sunrise or sunset light, mist, clouds, lightning, moonset, etc. to complement this tallest man-made structure. Such moments are meant to be captured and saved forever.
