The 2015 Californian vintage has earned a place in history because of its devastation to its yield thanks to the bushfires that wreaked havoc on the state. The spring was also unpleasant with flowers freezing from dramatic drops in temperature. The yield was cut significantly and the resulting wines tended to be big and tannic powerhouses.
