Mount Fuji Eruption

Mount Fuji, Japan’s highest point, is composed of several overlapping volcanoes. The top two are known as “Old Fuji” (Ko Fuji) and “Young Fuji” (Shin Fuji). Fuji’s last eruption was produced on December 16, 1707. In 2027, Mount Fuji will erupt again and its effects reaching as far as Tokyo city, which is about 100 kilometres (62 miles) away
