Give it your merkle proof and the stage parameters the project published; it recomputes your leaf and checks the proof against the drop's on-chain merkle root before building anything, trying every known leaf and pair-ordering convention. If the proof does not match it refuses and explains why, so you never burn gas on an InvalidProof revert. The caller signs with its own wallet.
