La Diabla (the Devil) offers protection and destruction to mere mortals, she's 486 years old. She’s avaricious for power, gold and money. She wears her costume with pride and carries the past on her cape full of Quipus. Quipus are stories or records written in knots, an ancient Andean technique for storing information in a physical form. She is unaware and careless of the meaning and it’s history, she wants to own it all, cultural appropriation is her favourite sin.

La Diabla appears everywhere and to everyone, when you least expect it.
