American fraternities play an important role in the finance and recruitment of tech companies; in this work, I wanted to capture the "power or the three", a concept in which a group can dominate the market. Despite being a modern industry, this image captures the antiquated origins of the fraternal organisation in the clothes they wear. This artwork is featured in Lil Diamond Smith's Book "Futurist: Silicon Valley Edition." available on Amazon and Apple.
Inspired by the 2022 poem of the same name by Lil Diamond Smith. The artwork portrays deftly drawn characters and caricatures, surprising comical delights amid the backdrop of the hustle of New York life. Using a range of approaches from expressionism to psychotropic nightmare fantasy, this collection evokes the essential humanity, well hidden as it is, of their generally ambitious, disillusioned, desperate characters who are trying to survive in a city that becomes increasingly more demanding. The collection specialises particularly in revealing the illusions about advanced digital life―a museum attacked by drones, a financier stressed to the point of fury and the statue of liberty circled by drones.
