"Burza" (The Storm). Music, mix, mastering: Łukasz Poleszak (lukaszpoleszak.com), Cover: Alicja Lilianna Szpila (alicjalilianna.com)
“Korzenie” (roots) tells a story about an extraordinary journey into the ancient forest, in the heart of which grows Mother – a mystical tree of life that gave birth to all plants, fungi, animals, and humans. If we listen intently to echoes of the passed-by caves, rustling leaves, thundering lightnings, and mysterious creatures whispering, we will hear about lived sufferings but also about the limitless love of the Mother, she gives to her children. Stories that take root deeply under the soil, the home we all share.
The album was being made for almost six years and the recordings took place in Silesia, Beskid Śląski, Cracow, London, Dover, Barcelona, and Zanzinbar, to name a few. For this process, Łukasz used not only a computer, but also an alogue synthesizer, field recordings, cassette tapes, and small instruments, like Tibetan bowls or zaphir bells, he found and recorded during his journeys.
