On Sunday, November 14, 2021, at 1 p.m. U.S. Pacific Time, 4 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time, the U.S. Transhumanist Party invited Kit Muehlman of FairVote Washington and her colleagues to discuss the efforts of their organization to implement ranked-choice voting in Washington State.
Four members of FairVote Washington - Kit Muehlman, Stoney Bird, Lisa Ayrault, and Chris Mason - explained some of the mechanisms, benefits, and current uses of ranked-choice voting (RCV). Participants also got to try it out, choosing the group’s favorite pie, and a “council” of the best three animals (proportional RCV).
