On Sunday, March 28, 2021, at 1 p.m. U.S. Pacific Time, the U.S. Transhumanist Party invites Viva Cundliffe to discuss potential clean technological solutions to reversing the impacts of climate change.
Viva Cundliffe is an environmental engineer, completed a master's thesis in March of 2018, and completed a doctoral dissertation preprint which is awaiting defense. She owns a startup company (since 2010) and completed five successful prototype developments that lead to a final design for production of hydroxyl radicals. She is the first chemist who sublimated carbon dioxide directly back to a carbon solid, made a pure carbon gas stream, and separately generated doubly ionized oxygen ions in the lab. She also discovered how to produce a new radical, doublet hydroxyl, and characterized how it acts when released. Viva was the inventor of the carbon-dioxide-based oxygen supply system for use on Mars and served on the AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics) Science at Technical Committee for Colonization of Mars for 5 years, and was nominated for a Chemistry Nobel Prize in 2012. She has been a member of the Association for the Chemical Profession of British Columbia since 2010. She believes that all climate and weather modification and environmental management can be achieved in a non-toxic way using oxygen and its positive and negative ions.
