Boingy has a twin brother named Hoppy. When they were created, their DNA was mixed with rubber super balls. Boingy can't aim his body when he bounces. He never knows where he will land once he starts bouncing. He’ll often bounce twelve or fifteen times before coming to rest. He's always happy but seems a little dazed, perhaps from too much head bouncing. He has a special skill where he can eat rubber (such as old bicycle tires or tennis shoes) and spit them out in the form of tiny super balls for his friends like you to play with.

When first born, BioBots are as helpless as newborn humans…but almost immediately they begin learning how to hop around and make cooing and yelping noises. It is believed that most BioBots have perfect pitch and are able to identify and mimic almost any tone. It seems that the traits all BioBots share are: two horns, two teeth, one eye, lumpy head.
