Digital Bodyscape 76-3, a performance-based interactive digital art, is the first NFT project by Lee Kun-Yong, one of the most important figures in Korean experimental art. It explores the meaning and relationship between the digital world and the virtual body ─ the artist’s avatar.
Lee Kun-Yong is one of the most influential figures in the Korean avant-garde movement and continues his provocative practice in diverse media such as performance, video, sculpture, and installation. His work attends to the physical body as a medium where the self meets the world.
Digital Bodyscape 76-3 is the first expansion of the Bodyscape series to the digital world, which Lee Kun-Yong has been working on for decades. It is also an Interactive NFT presenting the moment in which the artist's body extends to the digital world. The performance conducted by the avatar of the artist will be created with the colors of the canvas and the paint selected by the NFT holder on the platform exclusively accessed by the holders. The holders mint a personalized NFT through the performance conducted by the avatar. Every single one of the 1,976 NFTs becomes the one and only artwork.
Digital Bodyscape 76-3 is launched on ETNAH, which is a curated art NFT platform of world-renowned artists.
