I spent a day gazing over the lake as the Canadian geese with their goslings squawked and carried on as if they owned the place. God made these geese and all living things when he made Earth. It is truly amazing to me the details of any given leaf or the splendor of a sunlit lake, and I marvel at its beauty. In this painting, notice how the colors of the fall leaves contrast with the boat on the shore.
Luke 5:2-3 He saw at the water’s edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets. 3 He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat.
Jesus’ words brought light to the mind and delight to the heart. He addressed the questions of the soul, salvation, and eternity.
