One morning at Emerald Lake the clouds engulfed the peaks of the mountains. With the sunlight diffusing through the clouds and over the landscape, Emerald Lake was lit by a uniform soft light. Standing by the lake bank, I was captivated by the dramatic sky. As soon as I got home, I knew how I wanted to edit this image. In post-processing I used a combination of blues and greens along with the difference, in contrast, to bring focus to the key details. I centered the kayak into the middle of the image for scale. Lastly, I enhanced the reflection to further bring attention to the beauty of the lake and weather conditions that morning.
