As a kid growing up in South Jersey my main music of choice was trap and club music, but as I developed as a musician and started to study other genres of music I learned to appreciate all different styles. Being a Nigerian man growing up in America, sometimes I felt like my house was Lagos Nigeria and as soon as I stepped out those doors I entered back into America and that's because of the music and culture my father gave me as a kid which helped me be the producer, dj, songwriter, and artist I am today pulling from all styles of music.

Wa Nibi is a song I produced, wrote, and performed to simply make people dance and feel good. In the song I use some yoruba words such as “dide” (which means get up) or wa nibi which means “come here”. The song mixes in multiple styles of music such as ama piano which is a sound coming from South America but also has different renditions all over Africa. At the end of the song you can also hear some Spanish guitars I played with.

Hopefully people can feel the same energy I felt when I made the song. Regardless if you understand the words or not, Wi Nibi is supposed to feel euphoric, sexy, and dangerous.
