This work became a bit famous, and is by far my most successful to date. It featured on the cover of Piauí Magazine's May 2012 issue, which is sort of their version of the New Yorker, but only corrupt Brazilian politicians actually read it.

It then gained traction in China and South Korea. It peaked when it ranked ahead of Bitcoin in South Korea's Gentleman Magazine in a hot new list for 2012. (I was mining Bitcoin then, and this made me laugh out loud when I saw the rank.) It sold thousands of prints, and was counterfeited widely by rogue manufacturers by being adorned on random low quality products.

This work weirdly brought everyone in the world together, and for that I am proud. Chinese communist papers loved it, capitalist Koreans saw the humor, and French people memed with it. What takes the cake though, is that I know that Kim Jong Un himself saw it. This doesn't at all bring fuzzy feelings, because the plight of North Koreans is not a joking matter, but if we dehumanize everyone we are opposed to, then progress will never be made. The fact that I have covered him extensively, and I've not been harassed (or killed), means that he probably has a good sense of humor. I believe Dennis Rodman and Donald Trump have shown that he's not necessarily everything the media has claimed in the past.

As an anti-socialist, if Kim called me, I'd pick up the phone. If you truly believe in your ideology, then you will never have a problem having a conversation it with anyone. There's nothing to hide or fear when you are confident in your beliefs.
