The “Anonymous” series started life as a return to my first style of figurative artistic practice alongside my abstract expressionism. Documenting anonymous faces of people and attempting to convey the complexities of human experiences without tying them to explicit people. We see faces in everything, from clouds, trees and random collections of ephemeral objects, almost like we are striving to obtain familiarity with things we don’t visually understand.

My abstract painting works are what I’m known for, alongside the digitally manipulated large scale projection installations that aim to create a synthesised synaesthesia for the audience - the coming together of dual sensory perception, using colour and texture to navigate a new kind of visual language surrounding our emotional response to sound. Music can dictate an experience and manipulate it in either a positive or negative way, and the iterative development of the series plays with this idea, hiding the faces amongst layers of physical paint and digitally manipulating them through a series of programming and manual techniques on After Effects, Procreate and Premiere Pro (also Adobe Audition).

The NFT space has finally given me a platform to exhibit these works together, not just in an immersive sensory environment but something that the owner/audience can carry with them at all times in their wallet.

A culmination of all elements of my artistic practice, inviting the viewer to question what it is they see and feel.
