Sky Pods, created by A0K1VERSE, in collaboration with oncyber and Inferstudio, are the next step into the A0K1 metaverse. The pods represent a home in the metaverse that can be used to display art, listen to music, and gather with friends. The Prizm Sky Pod features a gallery ring with room to display 35 works, multi-level living spaces, a gravity-defying pool, and a mixing studio with a performance platform and open-plan floor areas. Prizm pods fuse the typologies of apartment and art gallery, with a distinctive circular floorplan and abundant nooks, shelves, and curved walls to accommodate vast and diverse digital art collections. The interior spaces of Prizm pods seem to gleam with multi-coloured light, simulating iridescence by using oncyber’s Physical Based Rendering (PBR) materials. By using materials with sub-surface scattering and polychromatic qualities, the Prizm pod embodies digital material rarity through the combination of multiple computationally complex surface properties. Prizm pods float high in the stratosphere, with nothing above but expansive sky. At night, it hovers below dramatic skies, lit by the purple-green glow of auroras and distant galaxies.
