In the Sierra Nevada mountain range in California, Convict Lake is named for a group of convicts who escaped and had a shoot out with the sheriff.
Thankfully there was no such ruckus on the morning I was there. It was the most peaceful and calm sunrise with a perfectly still reflection on the lake.

My way of life is a little different than most.
In 2011, I gave up my career in software development for a new life as a nomadic photographer. For over 10 years I have been living in an RV and travelling North America searching for good and beautiful things.
Some people thought I was crazy for giving up a good career. Others thought I was brave. For me, it felt like the only option that was right and good.
I am living my life — my way.
And now I’m sharing my most beautiful moments with you.
