The blue sky and sea in summer shine like a blue light in itself. It's good to enjoy it outdoors, but I think it's also nice to look at it quietly from the shade. This building is modeled after a temple in Kyoto that I visited before. There is no sea nearby in my area. However, the scenery and the sound of the waves that I see when I visit occasionally are soothing. I drew this picture with a longing for the sea and a respect for the style of the temple.

夏の青い空と海は、それそのものがまるで青いライトのように輝いています。屋外で楽しむのもいいですが、日陰から静かに眺めるのも、趣があってよいと思います。 この建物は、以前訪れた京都のとあるお寺をモデルにしています。 私の住む地域には近くに海はありません。ですが、たまに訪れたときに見る風景や波の音はとても心が和らぎます。 海への憧れと、お寺の風流な佇まいへのリスペクト込めてこの絵を描きました。
