this work was created during the strikes in November 2021 in Martinique. it was a difficult situation and I was locked up at home like many other people.

You have to listen to it, you have to let it live... "Faranak" is me, is you, is all of us! She does everything to protect us and she is on the Veranda of our moments, our decisions, our feelings and at the same time in the face of all situations.

To understand and find the meaning of "Faranak", we don't need to go far and do research. We just have to go within to hear and see what she is saying. The free, wild and conscientious part of our soul. She is strong, she is free, she is smart and beautiful, she knows what to do and what to say... she knows where to go to feed on strength... "Faranak" does not belong to anyone or a fixed place... she is in the hollows of the trees, in the breath of the wind and the gentleness of the water.

What we see in the "Faranak" collection are moments of joy and pain. She is our mother, a mother who tries to protect us.

This collection began in 2008 in Neichabour with drawings and today it is a collection composed of drawings, paintings/collage, sculpture, texts, photos...
