The Monster and the Troll

The sun had long gone down, and the night was drawing in. The wind rustled through the trees, and the air was thick with an eerie stillness. Suddenly, a scream cut through the silence, echoing off the trees and sending a chill down my spine.

I knew I had to investigate, so I followed the sound, trudging through the thick swamp until I came across a red house, looming out of the fog. I could feel the presence of something sinister and I almost turned away, but I remembered the screams. Taking a deep breath, I stepped forward and knocked on the door. No one answered, so I pushed it open and stepped inside.

The inside of the house was dark and damp, and a musty smell hung in the air. I could hear shuffling and whispers coming from the other room, and I felt a shiver run through me. I crept forward, and peered into the next room, only to be met with a monster and a troll. The two creatures were arguing over a pile of bones, and the sight of them made me shudder. I backed away slowly, not wanting to draw their attention. I quickly ran out of the house, and out of the swamp, never looking back.
