Records of my life is an image of all 3700 analog 12-inch records that I, Yoshihiro Taniguchi, owned at home as of June 11, 2021. I started buying records with my own money when I was 12 years old. Along the way, the music media I bought became CDs and subscriptions, but at 57 years old, I still continue to buy analog records. With the help of three friends, I filmed the video at my home between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. with careful planning. This video is a merge of the opening video of my beloved music TV show "Best Hits USA". If you purchase this work, I will provide you with a making-of video of the shooting of this video.
Yoshihiro Taniguchi has been photographing road cones in cities all over the world for more than 10 years and posting them on Instagram with #coneandthecity, and has also created an installation using more than 3,000 road cones with an art grant from Osaka City. Practice: Yoshihiro Taniguchi (Founder, chignitta)Born in 1963, Taniguchi has worked as a producer of "digmeout," an FM802 project to discover young artists, and has been involved in corporate promotion, art book publishing, and exhibitions in Japan and abroad. In 2021, she will start an art project called "chignitta" with Junko Sasanuki.
