This artwork created by Sophia Kay fund the non-profit organization Foresight Institute. This animated artwork is part of a triptych inspired by the molecular wheel present in the original logo of Foresight Institute. This creative work is trying to encapsulate the new attraction of Nanotech and its capacity to bring artists and a new cohort of scientists on board.
Inspired by Eric Drexler, one of the founders of the Institute the artwork rely on a passage from Drexler’s « Engines of Creation » where he wrote « “New technologies will nurture new arts, and new arts will bring new standards. The world of brute matter offers room for great but limited growth. The world of mind and pattern, though, holds room for endless evolution and change.”
