#探究の白獣

『記憶の孤島』を統治する12塔の聖獣の1塔。

探求の白獣は、別名「白兎（はくと）」とも呼ばれるウサギに似た聖獣である。

俗世の人々の知識欲を刺激して「探求心」を活性化させ、「不思議な物や場所へ導く概念や考えを追うこと」「視野を広げること」を役割として担う知者だ。

童話や伝承の中で、ウサギが案内人として描かれるのは、この獣が人々の深層心理に与えた“記憶”によるものと考えられている。

人の持つ「知りたい」というシンプルな欲求を増幅させるこの聖獣は、人類の進化には無くてはならない存在といえよう。

The White Beast of Inquiry, also known as the White Rabbit, is a sacred beast resembling a rabbit.

It is an intellectual whose role is to stimulate the mundane people's desire for knowledge and activate their "spirit of inquiry," to "follow concepts and ideas that lead them to mysterious objects and places," and to "broaden their horizons.

The reason rabbits are depicted as guides in fairy tales and folklore is thought to be due to the "memories" this beast imparts to people's deep psyche.

This sacred beast, which amplifies our simple desire to know, is an indispensable part of human evolution.
