Ocellaris Anemone fish also known as the Clownfish, has become one of the most well-known and most popular reef fish species especially after their prominent role in movie Finding Nemo. They live most of their lives inside these Anemones in a symbiotic relationship. These stinging Anemones provide them shelter from predators.
They are one of the most social fish species in a tropical reef system. You can always find a few Nemo families living around Singapore reefs. I particularly like the shape of the anemone in this shot which on the first look reminds me of a heart. Maybe it's just me. To find him again, go around10 meter deep on the reefs of Pulau Jong island. These waddling and adorable striped fishes are hard to shoot too as they are always on the move. If you ever dive with me you will realise, I am that one diver who is always 'Chasing Nemo'.

Volume 1 - Singapore is home to a large variety of animal and plant species, which can be found in their natural habitats. Be it dry land tropical rainforests, mangroves or coral ecosystems, there is a rich biodiversity to be found in our Nature. With this collection, I want to showcase some of the unknown underwater wonders in this local waters.
Unlike the rest of South East Asia, diving conditions in Singapore is challenging. On an average day we get only a visibility of 2-3 meters which can some time go towards 0 depends on the day. But these waters are a great place to photograph underwater macro life. This is going to be a two part series with a combined total of 25 photographs.
To make this world a better place, with every initial sale, we will be doing Marine Megafauna Foundation's whale shark adoption under collector's preferred name.
