"soluble" is a short momentum of an illustration of the narrative Yoon's building around her ongoing digital fabrication project: Water Soluble Ego.

Yoon created a series of water-soluble glitch sculptures, following a material theory and process oriented narrative that questions the visibility, ego, security and survival. In “soluble,” one of the glitch sculpture series is presented.

“To scan my body that’s constantly moving; to form a support and print in a hardened, synthetic material that’s also water-soluble; and both body and support system to be prone to fully dissolve into the surroundings. Can a dissolving sculpture be a metaphor to “being formless,” as a survival strategy for a female body, always under the risk of objectification and manipulation?” Ongoing questions from the artist.
