every year, I produce a one-off image inspired by Bitcoin in some way. Having sold many Bitcoin-related NFTs, 'strong hands', and 'elemental' series, here is the 2021 'photo-art' edition for one collector, or real hodler.

the art of holding bitcoin 'as bitcoin' in your own secure wallet with no custodianship or wrappings, outside of the rise of crafty, still-risky, de-fi growth in 2021, was also motivation for this image and nft 'proof-of-hodl'. Everyone should hodl a little bitcoin in this way, and use a dedicated wallet.

this year has been as eventful as usual in the unfolding 'chronicle of crypto': continued covid-19, variants and inflation fears, elon musk tweets, de-fi multi-network dapp growth, chinese crackdowns... As ever, it's important not to trade or panic and appreciate what Bitcoin is. Most mainstream journalists writing 'brave' cautionary or reactionary stories given a chance to sneer at the success of investors, or take a deliberate, devil's advocate approach, still don't understand what it is, or why it's important.
