This is a set of images that explore the theme of place in digital art works, referencing the unseen devices and processes that affect our daily lives, and the connections these create to the wider world.

Pieces are produced using randomised and generative processes influenced by a physical location. 

Once a real place has been chosen and visited in person, a set of words are chosen to describe the area. Each individual word is cross checked against the what3words database, and then used in a process that combines them in to randomly generated groups of three words. 

The resulting combinations are then located in the world using what3words, and images of these "twin" locations are displayed in a grid which structures the final image.

Variation is added to the images by introducing processes that randomly change line weights, colours, thicknesses.
