This Sorry Game > Kore

Last updated: October 25th, 2021 at 10:10 AM

The game is Sorry, and has four characters. Kore is green. She creates classically gendered textile work such as quilts and cross-stitch that mimic the motifs of the other players. Kore’s weaknesses are naivety, and a direct reliance on Ness early in the game. Kore’s strengths are seduction and charm. Kore’s references are Louise Bourgeoise, Kathe Kollwitz, Joyce Wieland, Ingrid Wiener, Hannah Ryggen, Kai Althoff, and Rosemarie Trockel. This Sorry Game is created by Kate Sansom. Sansom is a visual artist that creates confessional, cheeky works in multiple media. Her most recent solo exhibitions include 'Holes' at Mother Culture Love in Berlin; 'You kill time, like mosquitoes' at Haus der Kunst in Oslo; 'Froth Ending' at The Loon, Toronto; and ‘Sociable’ at Carl Louie, London. Sansom has participated in group shows at Ludlow 38 Goethe Institute, New York; Main Street Gallery, Toronto; Kunsthalle Bern, Bern; What Pipeline, Detroit; and Centre, Berlin.
