“During the Cold War: Taiwan under the Reign of Chiang Kai-shek” is the first NFT series launched by United Daily News, one of the main newspaper publications in Taiwan. 

In 1949, the National Government of the Republic of China retreated to Taiwan from mainland China. Under the reign of the former President Chiang Kai-shek, the status of Taiwan elevated from being a small island on the southeast side of mainland China to becoming an iconic base to fight against the Chinese Communist Party during the Cold War.

Through this NFT series, we’d like to take you back to the beginning of the cross-strait divide.
