The artful arrangements of oddities strewn about the streets of Shanghai subtly showcase the general population's eye for form and balance. With Shanghai Ikebana, I wanted to recognize the often downplayed imagination of the Chinese and contrast it with rival Japan's somewhat rigid and austere art of flower arrangement. I shot this book from 2015-2016 while living in Shanghai.
