# The Rovies have landed!

**We for one welcome our new Robot overlords, Meet...The Rovies**

Rovies are the first procedurally generated NFT companions that are technologically capable of traversing the metaverse. Their codex allows for 100,000 variants but only 10101 to ever be synthesized are Origin Rovies. All Rovies will become playable characters in the Rovi Play-to-Earn universe in Decentraland's 3D metaverse and soon in their own metaverse called the Rovimatrix!

Each Rovi is assigned through an automated system their physical characteristics and their battle stats used to combat other Rovies and earn the Operator valuable resources needed to synthesize a new generation of Rovi.

Rovies are synthesized from the stored information of their ERC721 token contracts on the Polygon network, making them more cost effective to trade with other Operators. No two Rovies can be the same and can only be owned and operated by a single person.
