I self-funded a trip to India in order to study, photograph and draw portraits of the local Primates living in the Himalayan forests & the Planet Monkey collection was entirely made from those original sketches.

I self-funded a trip to India in order to study, photograph and draw portraits of the local Primates living in the Himalayan forests & the Planet Monkey collection was entirely made from those original sketches.

In Summary

I spent just over 3 years, mostly photographing, documenting and studying the Primates seasonal behaviour patterns in order to learn more about them and in doing so, actually made friends with some of them. By the end of the 3rd year and by coincidence, a new face at the chai shop asked about the project..and to cut a long story short ...the new stranger came from a publishing background so during the following months all the events/details of those years were compiled & formatted ready to be published as a book! Hmm, I never saw that coming. The Book will now be professionally edited, before being set for publication. To help with the continuous need for funding, I decided to create an nft collection featuring some of the sketches and plan to reward the holders of those nfts with a pre-release copy of the book (once the 100 nfts have been collected). tba: It's been a lot of work to get to this point but it will be more than worth it, once the book is out there and the readers may enjoy the stories and events of my time On Planet Monkey.
