Pixelized Zen

"Moment of truth" does not exist in photography. Every frame represents only a glimpse of selective reality.

Nam June Paik’s “TV Buddha, 1974” intrigues the world with its proposed infinite loop of Zen.

Exploring in my own selective reality, I introduced a still camera working inside of a video game system to interrupt the flux and capture pieces of the Buddha’s being—Pixelized Zen.

Every still frame of this series is neither a mirror nor a reflection of the truth. Afterall, what is the truth? Pixelized Zen is an interpolation between Paik’s Zen Buddhism and the evolution of digital identities.
