Paul Hamilton Impressions

Paint brush strokes made in camera using the ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) handheld technique to produce photography inspired by impressionist artist painter JMW (Joseph Mallord William) Turner 1775-1851, known for his expressive, imaginative landscapes and turbulent, often violent marine paintings of the North East Kent Coast of England. Feeling a mutuality with JMW Turner of both being Londoners, with Cockney accents, and making art imagery in the same part of the UK, albeit centuries apart, I felt compelled to produce these photographs in his painterly style.
