One Year of Shape is a generative art project built on Shape Layer 2, transforming an entire year of blockchain activity into 365 unique artworks. The visuals are inspired by Algorithmic Line OP Art: flowing lines, layered depth and optical movement.
Each piece is a unique 1/1 of Shape’s first year, created through algorithmic rules and a locally trained AI model. This collection isn’t just about art, it’s about archiving history in visual form by showing how data can be transformed into creativity.

Transaction count shapes structure • Low tx = minimal, calm lines. • High tx = dense, chaotic movement.
ETH volume shapes color complexity • Low volume = soft, minimal tones. • High volume = expanded palettes, layered depth.
All of this runs through a locally trained AI model, built specifically for this project. The result is 365 unique 1/1s, each capturing a day on-chain as movement and color that can never be repeated.
Every artwork in One Year of Shape was generated and then manually upscaled to 4096×4096 resolution.
This process preserves every line and layer with maximum detail, so the complexity of each piece can be experienced in true 4K.
