Mujeres Rurales de Pakarinan

Pakariñan is an organization founded in 2005 in Ecuador, Latin America, constituted by -and that works with- community organizations, rural community-based tourism associations and fair trade artisan cooperatives.

“Mujeres Rurales de Pakariñan” is a project that seeks to strengthen the leadership and advocacy of rural women in southern Ecuador through the strengthening of their capacities and abilities to influence the public life of their territories, as rights managers, and contribute to the elimination of gender gaps in the rural world.

The collection that we present is the result of the work in 2020 and 2021 of Pakariñan to make visible the role of rural women in Ecuadorian society and leverage resources -through cryptocurrencies and NFT- in order to integrate more communities and rural women to the project.

The collection has been developed and is managed by the BINARA Foundation and all the resources obtained are used in “Mujeres Rurales de Pakariñan” project.
