 MoneyforNFThing

A great story about how the most famous digital characters of the 80s came to life and went to meet Mark Knopfler.

The iconic figures that starred in the 1985 music video Money For Nothing were recreated by 3D printing. The clip was considered a huge innovation in the musical industry with the use of 3D computer graphics and became practically as a symbol of MTV.

The characters were modeled based on the images of the video clip, they were 3D printed and then arranged in a mockup that also included the dog and the famous red stratocaster guitar, one of the trademarks of the guitarist and leader of the band.

This whole process, from the creation to the arrival of the gift in the hands of the "Maestro" took almost 1 year. On March 7, 2022, the band's and artist's social networks published a photo of the idol with the gift in his hands. A big and generous gesture from Mark to his fan.
