A key aspect of LinksDAO's mission is to modernize golf culture and make it more accessible while maintaining the sport's traditions. The community has developed various initiatives including partnerships with existing golf courses for member access, golf-related merchandise, and regular community events both online and in person. The project has successfully built a bridge between traditional golf culture and Web3 technology, creating new ways for golf enthusiasts to connect and engage with the sport.
In 2023, LinksDAO achieved a major milestone by acquiring its first physical golf course, the Spey Bay Golf Club in Scotland. This historic purchase marked one of the first examples of a DAO successfully transitioning from a purely digital community to owning and operating a physical asset.
