Inylchek by Albert Dros

Inylchek

is a photo project named after the Inylchek glacier in the Central Tian Shan Mountains in the northeast of Kyrgyzstan. All these images were taken in the south basecamp (4200m), also known as Khan Tengri basecamp. It's a place that can be reached by a long hike of 7 days, or by helicopter. Climbers gather here to climb the surrounding mountains. Most of these speaks are higher than 6000m and some 7000m+. Over a period of several days of sleeping in the extreme cold I took these images.

The light carefully hits certain parts of the mountains. In between the clouds this light play becomes visible, creating opportunities to see and capture just that little bit of light hitting the mountains.
